Legalizing Homosexuality by Madge Nosworthy

Romans 1:21-32 (NIV) 21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles.

24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.

26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.

28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. 29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. 32 Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

The question of legalizing homosexuality has reached the Supreme Court. The onus is on the nine members to revise the Constitution, which upholds the Bible Principles that the union of a marriage is between a man and a woman.

A woman came forward to say that she was married to another woman for forty-three years.  It took a woman to take the Bible from the classroom and prayer out of society.

The big question is; are we going to stand and allow another woman to go against God’s law?

Act 2:24 states that we ought to obey God rather than man and Romans 2:21-32 gives a clear picture of the consequences of such actions.

America is the only nation founded on Christian principles.

How soon do we forget?

Let us stop being men pleaser and worship the Creator in truth. Remember our pledge, “One nation under God with liberty and justice for all”

We have to join forces and pray against such evil corruption of legalizing homosexuality. It is no wonder our nation is heading south because we have turned our backs on God. To have equal justice for all is one thing but to legalize a sin is outright lawlessness, which opens the door for the devil to take over and reign.

Please Forgive Me

Romans 6:23 (KJV) “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Perhaps you are feeling somewhat down and feeling like you have failed God so much that there is no point in continuing with the relationship. What price have you paid for sin? None, yes, Jesus paid all our debts for us.

Remember God does not want us to live in guilt and condemnation. Embrace Christ for healing and hope.  Trust in God for tomorrow.  In faith, begin to ask for your healing and forgiveness today. Just a gentle reminder Romans 6:23 (KJV) “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Dear Lord, please help me not to live in condemnation but to take full advantage of your forgiveness through Grace and Mercy. I confess my sins to you and I humbly ask for your forgiveness. Help me to walk in this truth today, “All my sins are washed away, all washed away.” Thank You Lord.
