Jesus “The Key” by Joseph Livinproof Carnes

Jesus is Key

Psalm 1:1   “How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit in the seat of scoffers!”

Let me tell you how God works …
Yesterday me and a buddy of mine drove over to the other side of Reidsville Georgia to meet some friends and some of their friends to cut sugarcane, grind it and make syrup. At the end of the day me and my buddy Jeremy Parrish got ready to leave and I could not find my truck key. About ten different people looked for that key for an hour and never found it.
A guy that I barely knew walked over to me and said Joe you can use my truck, just get it back to me when you are done. So we gave him a ride to his house and as we arrived there he wanted us to meet his wife, she came outside and we said hello and exchanged a few kind words.
Jeremy and I got back in the newly borrowed truck to head back to Statesboro. I told the fella I could not thank him enough for letting me use his truck and I would take care and have it back Monday. Then the guy reached in his pocket, pulled out his credit card, handed it to me and said “fill it up before you bring it back”.
I have thought about this all morning, the guy basically said to me “here, not only will I let you use my nice truck but I will pay for your gas too”. This is a picture of Godliness that I will not forget in this life-time. I am completely humbled.

So, remember how I said I lost my keys and a guy I barely know let me borrow his truck and then gave me his credit card to put gas in it ?

Well I was supposed to get the truck back to him yesterday when I got a key made for my truck but it turned out that the locksmith could not go to my truck. I called my new friend and told him I would get his truck back to him as soon as I got mine towed home, he said “let me call you right back”.

So a few minutes later he called back and said he had a good friend who owned a Tow Truck and they were bringing my truck to me (50 miles away) for free. They get to town with my truck, they take me out to lunch and we find out that the locksmith can’t cut me a key till Thursday, remember how I said I lost my keys and a guy I barely know let me borrow his truck and then gave me his credit card to put gas in it ?

Okay so let me tell you how this whole “Losing the key to my truck” story ends. Well remember I told you how the tow truck driver and the guy who let me borrow his truck brought my truck to my house ? I told the driver (who happens to own a Towing/Heavy Equipment company) about my close friend who was a tow truck driver and was desperately in need of work and he gave me his card and said “have your friend call me.
Flash forward to today – The locksmith showed up to my house this morning and made me two keys for Eighty Dollars – I used the One Hundred Dollars that was given to me by the guy who let me borrow his truck so I ended up making Twenty Dollars.
My friend went and met with the tow truck driver at his office and will be starting work next week. I went to the studio and recorded for a few hours and came home, as I got out of my truck I looked down where my foot had just been in the floorboard and there just as plain as day was my key that I had lost.
I stared at it for quite some time before I picked it up. As it lay in my hand I heard God speak very clearly to me, He said ” I am in control of all things and all things are for My purpose. I have experienced a divine situation and I will tell the story of “The Key” for all my days.
