Walk as a Child of God by Christ’s Kingdom Representative

Isaiah 57:1-2 (KJV)

The righteous perishes,
And no man takes it to heart;
Merciful men are taken away,
While no one considers
That the righteous is taken away from evil.
He shall enter into peace;
They shall rest in their beds,
Each one walking in his uprightness.

You may have noticed that the father is being a lot stricter with you and that is because He wants you to understand that in this hour it is very important that your WORDS match up with your ACTIONS in validation of your FAITH!

We are in the END -TIMES where people are in flat out rebellion and willfully do not want to serve the Lord! Music, T.V. Films and the media in general are all working in opposition to the word of God and his commands, which has shaped a generation that is inevitably, being groomed to serve in the ANTICHRIST system.

We all have family members and friends who are resistant to hearing the word or being saved and though we pray and try to drop a word here and there, they just like us will have to make a choice whether or not to follow the Lord sooner or later. I say all of that to say this, our lives and the words we speak and our actions in many cases may be the closest thing that some people will ever get to the BIBLE.

We are a walking epistle!

People who cannot receive Christ for whatever reason are watching the things we do and they are weighing up their options to see if they could walk the walk and believe like us. We must more than anything start to practice what we PREACH and if we are not be honest about it by being transparent rather than unintentionally leading anyone astray or into discouragement!

The word of God say is that troubles and tests will surely come but we must not let them become an obstacle for ourselves or anyone else around us. Your consistency in following the word of God over the doctrines of the world is like a banner over your life for all to see.

The REMNANT of God is the ones who preach from the gospel and apply it to their lives, living the word, breathing the word, dreaming the word! No one is perfect and trust me we all fall short but we have to constantly be aware of how we live and what we do.

Sometimes, you not partaking in certain things speak more than just telling people what is right and wrong.  We need to be men and women of the WORD of God everyday so our whole lives becomes a tool to evangelize our unsaved family members, friends, work colleagues and brothers and sisters in the ministry who need to see a good example.

God is separating the wheat from the chaff; you are now being able to see, who the REMNANT is as opposed to the ones who follow the worldly church system. The Lord says my sons are the ones who are led by my spirit and my friends are the ones who do as I say!

A note about your Faith by Owen Sewell

Hello my friends, May the Lord Jesus Christ bless you bountifully today as you travel through your day with Him.

 What is Faith?

FAITH believes in what God said to you or through His word without the presence of doubt in your mind. It is, “the substance of things hoped for without seeing the evidence of it.”

Where does it come from?

It comes from The ALMIGHTY Himself. “For God has given to every man/woman the measure of FAITH.” Every person born a Human Being has faith.

“Without FAITH it is impossible to please God.” It is self-explanatory, only faith can move God and He rewards it well.

It pleases God when He sees the extent of your faith. God wants you to come to Him with a mind cleared of doubt.

What is Mustard-seed FAITH?

It`s small but enough, NOT little as some may think. That`s the devil`s trick. If you have it you can move mountains.

SOME WOES THAT HINDERS IT: Co-existing in your mind with your FAITH can be; IGNORANCE, UNBELIEF, DISBELIEF, and a HARDENED HEART. These produce Double-mindedness.

Jesus said that, “A double-minded person is unstable in all their ways, James 1:8 KJV.” “Let not that man think that he can get anything from the Lord.”

WOW!

This was Jesus saying! Ever wondered why you seem to not be getting anything from the Lord after praying?

That`s it right there!

Want to defeat it?

The Prayer of Jabez

1 Chronicles 4:10 “And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.”

Dear Lord:

Today I pray the same prayer over my life, my children’s life, my family’s life, my friend’s lives and for all who I come in contact with for today.

Help me to see the Jesus in people and to focus on the positive. Show me how to trust you with everything in my life. I give you the big things and the small things to use them as you please.

I want to be just like you.  Father, I know that you want the best for me and sometimes because of the choices I made I have to be disciplined and in those moments your grace is enough. Help me to know that when you are silent I need to rest in you.

Teach me to be patient and lead me in the path of righteousness.  Crown me with your glory and the joy of my salvation. Help me to be a blessing regardless of my situation.  Show me how to love the unlovable and may I see hope in every thing that comes my way. Nothing is forever, this too will pass.

Lord, it is so easy for me to lose sight of how I should be in you but for today I pray you help me to constantly live and be in your presence.

I thank you Lord for who I am in you and I give you back the day to lead and direct me in your perfect will. Thank you for your blessings and favor that awaits me every morning.

Victory is mine

Lord,

In closing, I step out in boldness, claiming everything that is already mine. Victory over my circumstances, peace over my mind, smiles on my face in spite of, joy in every moment, success in everything I do, love to cover a multitude of sin, patience to wait on you, gentleness in caring for people, meekness in my temperament, humility in my attitude, self-control in my behavior, mercy/goodness to forgive and to let go, wisdom to make the right decisions, knowledge to encourage and  the rest I leave to God. (Galatians 5:22-23)

Stepping Out of Our “Comfort Zone” by Trudy Ross

Matthew 14:22-33 (NIV)

22 Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowd. 23 After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. Later that night, he was there alone, 24 and the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it. 25 Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. 26 When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost,” they said, and cried out in fear. 27 But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.” 28 Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.” 29 “Come,” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. 30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!” 31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”

Step Out

It has been over a month since the Prayer Works Evangelism Outreach Street Ministry has been launched.  Watching God move has been an eye-opening and humbling experience for me.

The peace that comes with doing the will of God is another experience that words cannot explain.  All I know is that there is an inner peace that takes over your and if I should be honest “that peace” sometimes evades us.

Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you are too busy to think of anything else but you, and what concerns you?  Or have you ever told yourself “That’s not for me, I cannot do that!”

God has a way to shift us from that place of comfort that we sometimes find ourselves “ok” with.

Being involved in this Ministry has enabled me to step out of that place I called “Normal”. The reality of what is involved in ministering to the needy is such that while in the moment there is no room to zone in on “My Issues”. They become obsolete.

Before a breakthrough there is always struggles and if you are not Spiritually equipped you will quit before you begin. Every Sunday when it’s time to step out into the outreach arm of the ministry, the fight that comes and the pressure that builds up is one that would have you giving up.

We literally have to push past this feeling.

Today we packed the car, as usual, we pulled up and it was time to do what we set out to do.  We prayed again and stepped out. The minute we stepped out of the car you could feel God’s hand on what was about to take place.

First, it was one person and within five minutes or less it was a line as far as we could see.  The look on the faces of the people we saw, was one of complete happiness and hope, even if it was for just a time, THAT TIME, the joy of being ministered unto was something you could actually touch.

Not for a minute did I remember that this was not my “comfort zone” anymore, he had taken me to a new “normal”.

In closing let me ask you this. What is God asking you to do that you have questioned HIM so many times over if he is sure he got the right person?

Try this, step out of that comfort zone.  Let go and let GOD!

Abiding Faith by Wayne Smith

There’s a difference my Brothers and Sisters between Desire and Faith. You can have the desire to do something or get something but as soon as you are faced with certain challenges you lose that desire.

When you have Faith it causes you to pursue the thing that seems impossible, see desire will get you out of your Egypt and heading to your Promise but when you come upon your Red Sea you start giving up and saying why has God brought us out here to kill us.

Were there not enough graves in Egypt for you to leave us there to die, see that what desire does. Desire will take you to the entrance of your Promise but when you see that Jericho wall before you, you give up, but when you have Faith it will give you the Tenacity and the Power to hold on and go after your promise.

When you come upon your Red Sea and you don’t know where to turn, you can’t turn to the left there are Mountains on your left and you can’t turn to your right there are mountains on your right and you can’t look back because Pharaoh and his army is coming up behind you.

Faith will cause you to have no Fear but just Stand still and see the Salvation of the Lord. For the Egyptians you see today you will see no more, the bills you see today you will see them no more, and in the name of Jesus I’m crossing over my Red Sea.

Faith will get to the entrance of your promise and cause you to look at your Jericho wall and declare according to (Matthew 17:20 “for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you”).

Praise your way through into your Promise, somebody just shout unto God by Faith right now.

Financial Breakthrough for “Faith”

Matthew 17:20 He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.”

After church, I came home and saw I had a missed call from Faith. I returned the call and the lady mentioned she needs prayer for a financial breakthrough.

I asked how did you get this prayer line?

She replied, I searched the internet and this line came up.

Thanks be to God for her.  She is a divine appointment.

Team please help me pray for a spiritual breakthrough, as well as a financial breakthrough.

There was also an unspoken request for a friend she is currently standing in the gap for and for her pursuit in finding a church home in Ohio.

Psalm 46:1-3,7 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change and though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea; though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains quake at its swelling pride. Selah. The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our stronghold. Selah.

I want to ask you to pray for friends of mine that are missionaries. They live in Germany here and they are starting house churches and teaching on relational communities. They have struggled financially and have had many attacks.

Folks asked them to help start a Christian community and they moved to join them. Now six months later, they are asking them to leave. They have no money, and they are really struggling to get into an apartment, of their own. Please pray for Gods provision and for clear direction.

The Power of Praying by John L Hemphill III

Often time in life we face difficult moments; moments that are greater than us and they bring challenges in our lives that are to hard to overcome. In such times we go to God in prayer but how do we pray where we are sure that God hears us? How do we pray so that we can be certain that God is the one we must trust in? Well, let’s look at the text:
Exodus 32:10-14
10 Now leave me alone so that my anger may burn against them and that I may destroy them. Then I will make you into a great nation.” 11 But Moses sought the favor of the LORD his God. “O LORD,” he said, “why should your anger burn against your people, whom you brought out of Egypt with great power and a mighty hand? 12 Why should the Egyptians say, ‘It was with evil intent that he brought them out, to kill them in the mountains and to wipe them off the face of the earth’? Turn from your fierce anger; relent and do not bring disaster on your people. 13 Remember your servants Abraham, Isaac and Israel, to whom you swore by your own self: ‘I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and I will give your descendants all this land I promised them, and it will be their inheritance forever.’ 14 Then the LORD relented and did not bring on his people the disaster he had threatened.
This is an interesting text; those who go to church may have heard it before but we must be careful not to make the text say what we want it to say; we must never add to the text or take away from the text because Proverbs and Job warn us what can happen if we do that.
In the circumstance involved the Lord grew angry with Israel, so much so that He was ready to destroy the nation and start it over again with Moses. Notice how Moses prayed! Moses didn’t pray with the attitude that he had power. He didn’t pray with the attitude of deserving anything. Moses didn’t say to God that in the name of Jesus I command this to happen nor did he say that I deserve this; even based on the promises. To say such a thing is in pride. James says, we have not because we ask not and often when we ask we ask amiss; to ask amiss often means we ask with the wrong heart or the wrong attitude; we are me focused and not God focused.
First, we you come to God you must believe that he is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him; Enoch preached this; this means that when you pray to God you must know that there is a God and that He values your prayers and has the ability to give you what you pray. In other words to pray you have to have faith that God can do what He says; this is also why God had the prophet Enoch say that without faith it is impossible to please God. Proverbs also says that the sacrifices of the wicked our an abomination but the prayers of the righteous are His delight so when you pray understand that God wants to hear your prayers and He wants you to talk to Him while understanding that He can act on your behalf as a father to a child. Jesus also reflects this in the Gospel of Luke when Jesus says if a child asks for fish will his father give him a stone; God knows what you need and He likes to hear to come to Him asking.
But when you pray there is a way to ask God for things; yes you can come to the Lord as a child to a father because the Lord is our Heavenly Father; or our Pater Noster; however God so you don’t just come to Him any old way; He is not your boy or your “homie”; He is still God. He is the God who destroyed the Assyrian army of 250000 soldiers in one day. He is the God who destroyed the Egyptian army in the Red Sea and did so not only effectively but as a result Egypt lost control of Canaan and it shifted the geopolitical structure of the Middle East; that’s why Joshua fought the Canaanites and not the Egyptians even though the Egyptians had fortresses in Canaan. He is the God who lives beyond time and is clothed in light; yet since He made time He chose for the love of you to step into time and called Him Jesus; as a result even though He was human He was still Christ all-powerful or Christ Pantocrator; that’s why the laws of humanity like time and death couldn’t overtake Jesus because He was from beyond time so the jurisdiction doesn’t apply.
For some of you who may be skeptical of God entering time and calling Himself Jesus consider this. If Spike Lee can make a movie, direct it, and star in it; with his flaws; then surely God cal make time, direct and command it, and still call Himself Jesus and play a staring role in human history.
When you pray know that God hears you; He wants to heat you from you; He has the power to help you; you can speak to Him freely but you must respect who He is because He is God and Lord over all. Also, however notice Moses.
Moses came to the Lord correctly and considered God first; considered how God would look to the unbelievers so that the glory of God would be considered. Moses also considered and prayed the promises of God to the Lord; He reminded God about what He said. Notice, Moses didn’t just pray his desire; he didn’t just pray what he wanted; He submitted his will to God’s will; He submitted his desires to what God said and the purpose of the Great Commission even before the Great Commission was given by Jesus; how do we know this; its really simple; Moses said to God in his prayer; what will those who don’t believe you say if you destroy your own people. God’s word and His purpose to bring glory to Himself and saving souls must come first so to submit to that and what God says is key. Another thing that is key is that the promises of God must come true; Heaven and Earth will pass away before a single word will pass away so if God makes a promise in His word; then it is senseless to pray against it or expect God to not keep His promises; it is senseless to try to manipulate circumstances to get around what God says. Proverbs says that there is no wisdom, council or understanding against the Lord. If you want a prayer not to be answered then pray against what God has commanded. But if you want you prayers answered submit your will to God’s will and commandments and then with a humble heart pray what you desire but put what God says first because God will honor His will. If you bend your will to the will of God then God won’t just hear you; but He will hear His promises and see your humility when He searches your heart and if your desires fit what God promises; then God will respect your prayers.
Lastly, there are some who believe that God can change His mind and they use this text to hold a false belief; but you need to know the truth; that God doesn’t have a reason to change His mind because he already knows what will happen in advance. God knows the future so when you know the future you plan in advance for what is to come so you don’t have to change anything for He is beyond time and is not affected by space and time; nor the passage of time; God made the speed of light, and every other law. God shows this repeatedly in the scriptures. However for the sake of argument; let me show this fact about the Lord so you can move closer to Him. Yet, even though the Lord did spare Israel we must remember that God also wiped out that generation of Israel and they wondered in the desert for 40 years. God still followed His course in many ways; God never changes His mind but He will amend circumstances for us when we prayer and approach Him the right way and He will move.
