The Prayer of Jabez

1 Chronicles 4:10 “And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.”

Dear Lord:

Today I pray the same prayer over my life, my children’s life, my family’s life, my friend’s lives and for all who I come in contact with for today.

Help me to see the Jesus in people and to focus on the positive. Show me how to trust you with everything in my life. I give you the big things and the small things to use them as you please.

I want to be just like you.  Father, I know that you want the best for me and sometimes because of the choices I made I have to be disciplined and in those moments your grace is enough. Help me to know that when you are silent I need to rest in you.

Teach me to be patient and lead me in the path of righteousness.  Crown me with your glory and the joy of my salvation. Help me to be a blessing regardless of my situation.  Show me how to love the unlovable and may I see hope in every thing that comes my way. Nothing is forever, this too will pass.

Lord, it is so easy for me to lose sight of how I should be in you but for today I pray you help me to constantly live and be in your presence.

I thank you Lord for who I am in you and I give you back the day to lead and direct me in your perfect will. Thank you for your blessings and favor that awaits me every morning.

Victory is mine

Lord,

In closing, I step out in boldness, claiming everything that is already mine. Victory over my circumstances, peace over my mind, smiles on my face in spite of, joy in every moment, success in everything I do, love to cover a multitude of sin, patience to wait on you, gentleness in caring for people, meekness in my temperament, humility in my attitude, self-control in my behavior, mercy/goodness to forgive and to let go, wisdom to make the right decisions, knowledge to encourage and  the rest I leave to God. (Galatians 5:22-23)

A Nation of Lawlessness by K. Thomas-Clarke

2 Chronicles 7:14-If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Morning all, I’m requesting prayer for the Island of Jamaica. Crime and violence against our women and children are on the rampage such that we are living in fear. Many women and I here are traumatized by the blatant disrespect and attack on us women and children from the very men who should be protecting us.

My Heart bleeds as I write this prayer request and I hope the Government of the country will also take a firm stand bringing justice for our children. Thanks for your prayers.

Success

1 Kings 2:1-46

In the above-mentioned scripture, David gave final instructions to Solomon that would ensure success.  At David’s death, Solomon consolidated his power and administration. At the great King David’s death he exhorted his son to obey God, follow him, and be kind to others.  This is the big secret to true success. I’m sure, we can all agree on this.

Successful people are at the right place at the right time to a great extent because they have learned how to take certain action steps in proper sequence. They have learned that scriptural truth, “To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven.” (Ecclesiastes 3:1) They know that everything they desire has appropriate place and time for accomplishment, and toward that end, they set their priorities in certain orders, prepare themselves in certain ways, and refuse to give in to discouragement and failures along the way. Most of the time in the waiting season, it is the opportune time to prepare and be developed. It not just to have our hands folded and twiddling our thumbs. Again, there is a time for that too. Where are you in your season? Are you waiting and getting prepared? Check to see what God is saying through the Holy Spirit.

What about those who are unsuccessful? Be Careful of these Pitfalls

  1. Some fail because they lack dreams or they don’t believe in the possibility of their dreams becoming reality.
  2. Some fail to reach their full potential of a rewarding harvest in life because they have not turned their dreams into specific goals and plans of action for reaching those goals.
  3. Many others fail, however, because they are out of sync with time and place:
    1. They planted or fertilized their goals in the wrong season.
    2. They planted before they fully planned.
    3. The attempted to harvest a goal before it was fully developed.

Such failures arise not from lack of determination or willingness to keep trying but from efforts that are out of proper sequence. The result is that those who fail because of their improper alignment of time and place soon become frustrated. They begin to believe that it’s impossible for them to achieve anything significant, or allow their disappointments to develop into a failure-anticipating mind-set.

Success is for all who is in Jesus

The opportunity for success is yours. Believe it. Regardless of what you experience in your past, the future can hold success for you. If you want a successful life, then all your activities must reflect God’s will.  Today, make God the center of your life. Ask God to show you what successful living means for you.  Then rest easy in God’s peace and his plans.
