Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs; singing with grace in your hearts to The Lord. Colossians 3:16, KJV
Greetings Debbie, Merry Christmas…PRAYER WORKS I KEEP SEEING THIS POP UP ON MY PAGE.. I only have one son I did what the word said in training up a child….I did that Debbie…
My heart is broken “A” was doing so well he was getting married 2013…I don’t know what happen but he is back on drugs. He was off the drugs going around preaching the word. God was using him. Two months before his wedding day he is back on drugs?
Isaiah 40:28-31 (KJV) 28 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. 29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. 30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: 31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
For us it was another day to do what God has created us to do. Actually, not everyone knows what that is, and for everyone it looks different. I am talking about purpose in God and answering the great commission to go into the world and make disciples according to Matthew 28: 19-20.
Again, I know what my purpose was for today and together the group did just that….
As you probably know, Camden has been on my mind and has been a city that I carry spiritually and often sought the Lord to get an understanding of why it is a forgotten city.
Geographically Camden is located between two great cities near the riverbed. The city of Philadelphia on one side of the river and the other is the city of Collingswood. Both neighboring cities have its own troubles but it seems different from Camden.
There seem to be a spirit of depression over the city.
The answer I will never know and could be very much debatable.
However, as part of the will of God for the day Prayer Works Evangelism Outreach Ministries was there today. We had planned from weeks ahead that we would serve breakfast today.
It was wet and rainy and all seem dead when we got there. We saw one woman who lived in her wheelchair on the road. Her name is Laura. We prayed with her and asked if she needed something to eat and a change of clothes.
She took the coffee and the sandwich and told us her clothes size. Luckily, we had her size. She was happy.
After we got back to the car with the food and clothing, we thought we would go to another location to feed and pray. We had one person, and then it turned into two before we knew it we were feeding several persons. We were ministering to one need after another.
It was nothing extravagant but God used us to be his hands and feet for the day touching lives, which had been forgotten.
It is funny how we take for granted the fact that we can afford coffee of our choice and food. For others they wait for people to show up with a kind heart and they eat what is provided.
There were a series of events, which lead to us doing this.
You see, I always felt that God needed more out of me and that I was created to be more than just an ordinary person.
Spiritually, I was obese.
Sunday after Sunday, I would go to the house of God and I would eat but there was no spiritual exercise (outlet) to release all that I have been hear and reading since I was a child.
You see, I was spiritually overweight and I had to do something about that through the help of the Holy Spirit. I pledged that I would start pouring out into others. This created a balance, a spiritual workout from all the eating of the word.
Hence, I start ministering in every situation, the good, the bad and the indifferent. I am the church and the church is within me therefore everywhere I go, is affected by the God in me.
My counselor once said, “When I show up I carry the authority of God.” It took root in my spirit and now it bearing fruits. The atmosphere will never remain the same. When I show up, because Christ lives in me people want to tap into their best and are motivated to be the best them.
All of us are change agents for Christ. How much we believe this and act on it is another thing. However, it does not change the facts.
What are you doing to help the weary in spirit today?
You might never be able to go to Camden or to a foreign country is there a “Camden” near you? Can you use what God has given you to make a difference?
I mean will you activate your talent for the Kingdom.
One sure thing I know is when you do the will of God it brings peace and you can rest in the fact that he leads us beside still waters and He is the great shepherd.
Do what God is calling you to do and leave the outcome and everything else to Him.
1 Peter 1:15-17 (KJV)15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.17 And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:
Out of my mouth, I cry holy! Holy! Holy! Holy is the Lord God Almighty
God is worthy to receive glory
He created the universe and galaxies
Everything that our eyes behold whispers his majesty
From the highest mountain to the lowest valley
The rivers and the seas
The flowers and the trees
Creatures great and small
He created them all
People from all nation
He is the creator of all existence
They all showed forth his handy works
Each morning is full of new mercies
His loving kindness is far above rubies
He is LORD of the heavens, the earth, and the sea
He is the LORD ALMIGHTY
Holy! Holy! Holy

Psalm 103:1-5 “Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me bless his holy name. 2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: 3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; 4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; 5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

Citizen Tom created the Food For Thought Award. Here is his explanation: “What’s The Food for Thought Award? How can we combine The Super Sweet Blogger Award with The Thought Provoking Blog Award? Well, when a Christian blog offers visitors wisdom from the Word of God, isn’t that blog providing its visitors food for thought? Ah ha! Thus was born a new award.”
Here are the Rules:
Post the award on your blog.
Thank the one who nominated you and link back to their blog.
Share seven of your favorite Bible passages. For extra points, (Perhaps our Father in heaven will award them), explain why each of these seven passages is a favorite.
Nominate seven other bloggers you admire and enjoy! Why seven? In the Bible, seven symbolizes completeness.
Inform each person that you have nominated them.
SEVEN OF MY FAVOURITE BIBLE PASSAGES:
This was a definite challenge because the Bible has 66 books,1189 chapters and 31,103 verses in a Bible. Beside that, about 137 more verses are actually unnumbered giving 31240 verses altogether. Therefore to pick seven favorite was very difficult. Having said that here is my seven for today:
Lamentations 3:23 (NLT) “Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. “They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” I pick this verse because every moment I am reminded of his mercies and his faithfulness. The reason behind writing and sharing is the gift of salvation.
Luke 18:1-8 (NIV) “Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. He said: “In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared about men. And there was a widow in that town that kept coming to him with the plea, ‘Grant me justice against my adversary….” I pick this scripture and particularly verse one again because pray does works. I have proven and seen how my life has changed because of praying and reading.
Deuteronomy 4:24 “I am a consuming fire and a jealous God”. I love this scripture because every moment it helps me to put God first and through the help of the holy spirit to eliminate idols from my life…
Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” This scripture guard against doubt and insecurities in my life. Whenever I feel hopeless or I start believing lies I would quote this scripture and get back to my centering in Christ.
Romans 6:23 (KJV) “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” This one is my favorite too. When I am out on the mission field and I get tired this helps me to keep going because souls are dying in sin because they have no one to tell them about the gift of God that brings eternal life. I am here because someone broke it down for me. Someone was probably tired but patient.
Galations 5:19-26 (KJV) “16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.” I love this passage of scripture because it helps me in my daily walk with the Lord.
Psalms 27:1-2 “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? 2 When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.” I love the entire passage because when the evil days are upon me, man I find refuge and safety in this passage…
Please am asking you to pray for me. I have had headaches for the past week also a ringing in my ears. I want to stay discrete so please pray for me because I know my God will heal me in the name of Jesus.
Praying for God to bless me with the answer of approved….Please pray this pray with me. I need a breakthrough in various areas of my life.
I am convinced that I must be doing something right why it seems as if the devil is trying to corner me everywhere I turn!!! Please continue to pray for me, Thank you!
Luke 1:28 (KJV) And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.
Today was great… God I thank you for my wonderful team and for the two helpers that was sent to my Financial Center… Thank you Lord for favor… I am blessed and highly favored and most of all I am a child of God…
My blessings are set forth before like a carpet for my feet, a robe of righteousness for my body and a crown of goodness for my head. I am amazed by his loving kindness and tender mercies.
My faith in Christ gives me confidence and boldness to live life unafraid. It is comforting to know I love my life and I would not exchange it for nothing in this world. The joy that I have found in Christ is unspeakable and even in the midst of turbulence and misfortunes I have a life in Christ that words cannot express. My joy is reflected in my smiles. Man, it’s hard to explain and to capture in writing. My heart is full of gratefulness and I am excited about each day. Thank you Lord for your blessing on me.
I often say to myself what would my life be if Christ was not in it?
